Ovulation Tests - or Ovulation Predictor Kits - allow you to predict, with great accuracy, your most fertile time of the month. Easy to use, OPKs can greatly increase your chances of becoming pregnant - if you use them correctly.

If used correctly, ovulation tests are excellent predictors of ovulation. However, in order to detect the LH surge with accuracy, directions must be followed exactly.

When should I do the test?
The best time to test is 2 p.m., or as close as possible. Anytime between noon and 8 p.m. is fine, first morning urine is not recommended.
The reason for this is that most women experience a surge in the morning, but it can take 4 hours for it to show up in your urine.
Make sure to test at about the same time every day. 

"MidStream" technology eliminates the need for urine sample collection and handling and therefore is preferred by many women for its ease of use and simplicity. Most brands available in retail stores utilise the "midstream" method for these reasons.

Testing is done by removing the test from the sealed pouch, and holding the tip directly in the urine stream for at least 7-10 seconds.
